Many of us lead busy and pressured lives and need a chance, now and again, for space, peace, and time to reflect and pray. We have two opportunities for that this Lent. Lent is patterned on the 40 days that Jesus spent fasting and praying in the wilderness. That’s no doubt too ambitious for us, but maybe you could manage a one day Quiet Day on either Wednesday 17th or Saturday 20th March, at Barnes Close on the edge of the Waseley Hills. We are half way through St.Andrew’s Church centenary celebrations, and the next event is for the whole community: a Family Fun Day at the Sports Field on Bittell Road on Sunday September 5.
