Our young people are a big part of the life of the church, and there is a range of regular groups and special events for different ages, as well as all-age services and activities of which they are very much a part. We have a comprehensive Child Protection Policy in place, and all leaders and volunteers are CRB checked.

Children's groups meet during the 9.30am service each week, except for the second Sunday of the month when we stay together for All-Age Worship. Children share in the opening twenty minutes or so of worship in Church before going to their own age-specific groups, where visiting children are most welcome. On the first Sunday of the month, groups are followed by young people's worship, often led by the young people themselves. And on third Sundays, leaders bring the children back into church for the final part of the Communion Service. Groups consist of:

• Scramblers 3-5 years
• Climbers 5-7 years
• Adventurers 8-10 years
• Cluefinders 10-11 years
• Pathfinders 11-13 years
• Mountaineers 13-16 years

There is also a supervised crèche for under 3s every Sunday in the Parish Centre. Feel free to use it at any point in the service if little ones get restless. For details on any of these groups, contact Philippa Fieldson on 01214451269.

This is the Sunday evening group for young people in Year 9 upwards, led by our Youth Worker Beth Atkinson. It meets weekly in the Parish Centre from 7.00-9.00pm. There’s a variety of games, activities, and trips, as well as input from the leaders and some great discussions. For more information contact Beth on 07896-294255.

As well as these year-round groups, we also run occasional Youth Alpha Courses for teenagers wanting to go deeper in their faith, and Confirmation Groups to help prepare young people for church membership. And we are delighted to encourage those from 8 to 18 to take part in CPAS Summer Ventures – they always come back both excited and exhausted
